National Women’s Summit Launched by the WeGovern Institute

Last February 6-7, 2014 the Working for Empowerment and Good Governance (WeGovern) Institute, Inc. successfully launched the National Women’s Summit at the Great Eastern Hotel (Aberdeen Court) in Quezon City with the theme “Developing Leadership and Governance to Transform Communities” attended by more than 100 grassroots women leaders.

Rep. Liza L. Maza, Chairperson of the WeGovern Board was quoted as saying “The success of this event will serve as a springboard to launching common advocacies and more trainings among grassroots women leaders.”

The project was implemented with the support of the Global Fund for Women and various Local Government partners led by the Local Government of Quezon City and the Office of Quezon City Vice-Mayor Joy G. Belmonte-Alumurung.
